Abstract

|
Acute panautonomic and sensory neuropathy is a rare disorder, characterized by acute or subacute onset of widespread and severe sympathetic and parasympathetic failure with accompanying sensory loss in various degree. We experienced two patients
in
childhood who were conisistent with this characterization at the findings of autonomic function tests, electrophysiologic tests, and sural nerve biopsy as well as laboratory results. The pathogenesis is not elucidated well so far.
